James is a co-runner on a series of interactive workshops that work in co-operation with schools to promote the importance of creativity; how being creative can not only be fun, but a great way to work with others and find some unusual solutions to different problems!
Through the Quarry Grove Interactive Workshops, alongside author Clive Tandy, James looks at the importance of using school resources, co-operation and the developing self-expression. The workshops work to an adaptable template to cater to a range of age groups (through at the time of writing, the key target of these creative workshops is years 2-5, with the sessions focusing on relevant key skills depending on the year group).
The Quarry Grove Interactive Workshops are a flexible format that aims to cater the requirements of the school.
Along side exploring creativity, James is a keen support of environmental awareness. Issues concerning recycling, climate change and energy waste are optional factors that James is always happy to employ in the workshops. In the past, James has worked closely with local authorities to help find new ways to make green issues dynamic and exciting for children. Alongside Clive Tandy, James will be running an environmental interactive workshop in Longleat later in the year (subject to confirmation).
James and Clive have incorporated their interactive sessions into their Quarry Grove book signings they are currently running throughout 2008.
